A refundable Idaho earned income tax credit (EITC) would reward work and help Idaho avoid taxing people of modest means into poverty. Families typically qualify for an EITC for short periods of time (usually 1-2 years). A state EITC, funded by the rapidly growing Idaho Tax Relief Fund, would be a targeted tool that returns the benefits of Idaho’s economic recovery to everyday people.
