Center policy associate discusses housing costs for Idahoans on fixed incomes

Kendra Knighten, one of the Center’s policy associates, spoke with two Idaho Statesman reporters about the unique challenges Idahoans on fixed incomes face as rents in the Boise area continue to rise.

“Something we are hearing is people on Social Security and fixed incomes are struggling to keep up with market trends,” Knighten told the Statesman. “Because their income is fixed, they are less likely to be able to respond to significant changes in the market.”
